Mike – Men’s Resident
“I did not know what to expect upon my arrival, but it did not take long to realize I was in the right place.”
On May 14th, 2018 I arrived at the Warren Family Mission. I had a hard time with alcohol abuse. I found myself without a job and without a place to stay. I also had medical problems, severe circulation problems in my legs. I did not know what to expect upon my arrival, but it did not take long to realize I was in the right place.
The program helped me realize my need for help with both my alcohol abuse and medical issues. During this time, I was able to get the necessary medical help I needed for my condition. This ultimately led to a double bypass operation on my right leg and a single bypass operation on my left leg.
The operation was a success and was able to walk out of the hospital upon release. Pastor Chris personally picked me up from the hospital. My recovery from the surgery went very well and I continue to work for the mission to this day. I like to cook for the guys at the Men’s House and maintain a good personal relationship with all staff members. God willing and with the help from the Warren Family Mission, I have maintained six years of sobriety. I wish to pass along the same help and respect to all those coming for help. The same way Pastor Chris and all of his associates have treated me.
